Origins and how it works

The origins of gua sha date back to the Paleolithic, when stones and rocks were used to relieve pain and symptoms. The practice as we know it today was born in East Asia, where rubbing the skin with different tools stimulates circulation: the skin, the body's largest organ, hosts a network of energy flows that gua sha awakens and unblocks. The result is a massage that reactivates the vitality of face and body, promotes microcirculation, releases muscular tension and relieves chronic complaints such as headaches, neck pain, insomnia or digestive difficulties.

“The value of gua sha isn't in the stone. It's in the movement.”

Three reasons

Why gua sha deserves a high-value treatment

In Italy there is not yet an established gua sha tradition: what you find online is often fragmented or improvised. The course builds a solid, verified foundation.

The value of the treatment lies not in the material or the shape of the stone, but in the movement: that is the heart of the hands-on program.

In the West gua sha remains tied to the aesthetic field alone. The course also includes techniques to work on common complaints such as anxiety, insomnia, headaches, digestive difficulties or lack of concentration.

Your trainer

I deepened my knowledge of gua sha for face and body with Clive Witham, earning levels 1 and 2 of Ecology in Motion. In the course I pass on the same manual skill and the same listening I bring every day to my studio, with small groups so I can follow each trainee closely.
